IdF Microsoft Solutions

IdF Management Agent has been tightly integrated with Microsoft's Forefront Identity Manager as well as ILM and MIIS. The Management Agent works with IdF's Adapter Suite providing Microsoft customers with an "out of the box" solution for ACF2, Top Secret, RACF, i5, legacy and other target systems.

The IdF Management Agent for FIM (Forefront Identity Manager) provides a native interface between MS Identity Infrastructure and IBM-RACF, CA-ACF2, CA-Top Secret or IBM-i5. The agent, working in conjunction with IdF Advanced Adapters, acts as a trusted virtual administrator on the target system, performing tasks such as creating long IDs and changing passwords. In addition, it automates some of the functions that administrators usually perform manually. The IdF's Microsoft solution enables the use ACF2, RACF or Top Secret either as a managed (target) resource, or as an authoritative (trusted) source of user information for FIM.

IdF Audit Suite

The IdF Audit Suite provides extensive real-time harvesting of identity security information from mainframe, midrange and legacy systems, such as user attributes and permissions used to control access to mainframe business data.

The IdF Audit Suite includes an easy to use graphical console. The console provides for viewing audit data in real-time. Viewed audit data may be easily grouped or sorted to show acute insight into security policies. Views may be saved to enable quicker access to information for subsequent accesses. In addition, the information viewed can be printed or exported in many formats to be used by other applications.

Feature and Benefits

IdF Advanced Adapter Suite

The Advanced Adapter is comprised of two agents, Pioneer and Voyager. The Pioneer agent sends identity data changes from an enterprise's identity enable application or infrastructure to the appropriate target adapter, which updates the target mainframe or midrange system. The Voyager agent, in return, sends identity changes from the mainframe or midrange system back to the enterprise's identity application or infrastructure.

The Advanced Adapter, working in conjunction with the IdF Gateway, provides an industry standard LDAPv3 provisioning interface and native real-time, bi-directional identity synchronization between the host target system and identity management infrastructure or external application.
