428! Four Hundred and Twenty-eight! We were so surprised at the number that we took a second to let it sink in. I even played it in the Cash 3 Lottery that evening, and while the results in the lottery were not profitable, the fact that this server had been up for 428 straight days was “money”. Our home grown, “roll your own” SAN had exceeded every expectation. It had reached that point - actually passed it - when you forget how long things have worked and graduated to expecting them to work, or better stated, depending that they will work.
